Where Is the Brooks Museum in Memphis?
The Memphis Brooks Museum of Art is located at 1934 Poplar Avenue in historic Overton Park, right in the heart of Midtown Memphis. It sits just off Poplar Avenue near the Memphis Zoo, making it a convenient family photo location for clients coming from Midtown, East Memphis, Germantown, Collierville, and surrounding areas.
Parking is currently free, with spaces available in front of the museum, along the roads throughout Overton Park, and in the public lot behind the museum near the golf course.
A Note About the Brooks Museum’s Move to Downtown Memphis
The Brooks Museum is getting ready for a pretty exciting new chapter! In December 2026, the museum will leave its longtime Overton Park home and reopen downtown as the Memphis Art Museum, with a beautiful new riverfront location overlooking the Mississippi.
For now, the Brooks Museum is still in its familiar Overton Park home the gorgeous location you see throughout this post and one we’ve loved for Memphis family photos.
