A Cozy In-Home Session with a Germantown Newborn Photographer

Bringing home baby number three? You’re pretty much a seasoned pro at this point—diaper changes with one hand, reheating your coffee for the fifth time with the other. Adriana, our talented Germantown newborn photographer, had the privilege of documenting this sweet season for a family we’ve been photographing since their oldest was two years old. Capturing this family’s milestones over the years has been gift, and this in-home newborn session was no exception.

Choosing an In-Home Setting

The session took place in the family’s beautiful Germantown home, primarily in the nursery and the parents’ bedroom. Mama is a design pro – we’re obsessed with baby boy’s nursery! It was thoughtfully styled with soft tones and personal touches—a cozy, peaceful spot perfect for welcoming a new baby. We love incorporating these intimate spaces into sessions. They’re not only beautiful backdrops, but also meaningful parts of your family’s story.

What made this session extra special was the effortless dynamic between the siblings. Wrangling big brothers is an Olympic sport (gold medals for all involved!), but these little guys were naturals in front of the camera. They doted on their new baby brother with the sweetest kisses and gentle snuggles. Adriana made sure to give them space to interact naturally, which allowed us to capture some of those unposed, heartfelt moments. Our favorite? We’ve titled it “Mama and Her Ducklings” – it’s the second picture in the gallery below!

Mom and dad’s bedroom provided a relaxed, light-filled setting for some of the session’s coziest shots. We love using bedrooms because they create such a natural environment for those laid-back, cuddle-filled moments. And a space for big brothers to jump on the bed! Win-win!

Capturing a third baby’s newborn session is a special milestone—not just for the baby but for the whole family.
