Man oh man, what a year it’s been! My sweet sweet baby boy is ONE!! I can hardly believe it. He is my only baby and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to see him as any more than that. Thankfully I have these stunning heirloom images to help me remember all the details.
I have the privilege of working for Nicole doing a little bit of everything behind the scenes. It’s been a dream to experience her talents firsthand; her expertise brings every sweet memory to life with very intentional and beautifully executed mastery. Every single session she captures is filled with magic, but cake smash sessions are on another level.
Nicole has the CUTEST antique high chair for these cake smash sessions, but a floor session is also just as adorable! I wondered which type of baby my little man would be: a picker or a smasher.
- Pickers are those babies who carefully evaluate the object before them, tediously sticking a single finger into the sugary substance before them, then daintily placing said finger in their little mouth to determine their next move.
- Smashers are, well, smashers! These babies don’t hesitate at all, and jump right into their tiny tantalizing treat with all the excitement and force their chubby hands can muster! If you think your baby might be a smasher, don’t worry, Nicole has plenty of wipes and towels on hand!
Mammas know what it means when people say that first year FLIES by! I mean, it literally befuddles me as to how quickly our babies grow! From my sweet boy’s newborn session to now, it feels like I blinked. I cannot express- I don’t think I’ll ever truly be able to express- how grateful I am for the gifts that these photos are.
